Relief From Deportability
The most common form of relief from deportation is Cancellation of Removal for Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) or Noncitizens other than LPRs, which provides discretionary relief for removable noncitizens who have resided in the United States for significant periods of time and have other factors favoring relief from removal.
Note that if noncitizens other than LPRs are granted this form of relief, he or she may apply for adjustment of status in order to receive a Green Card.
